Biography
Karen Kate always seeks the opportunity to express, whether it be through dance, science, or art. As a lifelong artist and learner, she embraces curiosity and color. She is primarily self-taught and feels grateful to the generosity of many masters, past and present, whose wisdom has shaped her journey in art. Her early artist days were explorations in colored pencil and watercolors. Her hiatus in dance during the pandemic enabled her the time and focus to adopt acrylics and oil, loving the expressive textures and brushstrokes that these media afford.
What she loves about art is the opportunity to grow in voice and technique, the freedom to constantly reinvent herself, and the joy of sharing this journey with others.
